The thrust bearing is a support providing the reliability of rotors of modern high-speed assemblies, where friction is occurred during sliding of mating surfaces.

Advantages

The advantages of using damper bearings are:

  1. Increased load capacity;
  2. High damping properties (significantly reduced level of vibration on the problem, high-speed rotors (including transient modes);
  3. Easy to repair (the possibility of replacing the bearings while using of existing housing);
  4. Low wear and tear;
  5. High reliability.

Key features

Characteristic feature of self-aligning bearings is inserts with liquid bearings and individual lubricant supply to each block. Thanks to the feedback between the back pad and the housing, the bearing is able to perceive significant vibratory loads and angular misalignment of the rotor axis.
Geometrical dimensions, design characteristics are calculated on the basis of specific conditions of the work and requirements of the client company.

Application

Design of thrust bearings allows installing them on heavily loaded, high-speed, dynamically unstable rotors of centrifugal compressors, turbines, pumps, reducing gears and other equipment.
